Three Dragons, One God, Two Epics and a Pearl Necklace

Nexona Dead

Nexona Loot:

x3. . .congrats to Joboba, Leick and Hammyr

Bo Staff of Trorsmang: 40/35 +10str +10agi 5.0 lbs, monk only 2hb

Monk Staff also dropped for Arlos (bah ninja)

Mad props go out to Ronald for the world's longest solo Dragon pull, past approximately 12 wurms, 6 racnars and one frantically running Halfling lockpicker.

Druushk Dead Too

This freak-lookin dragon went down hard too.  Here is some phat loot to check out:

Congrats Ronald's Bank!

Vendreahl's new staff -- Effect: Sexy Hair

Monq's new molestor

Jeddite's cow on a stick (we were all so relieved. . .poor Jeddy never gets loot)

By the time Druushk and Nexona were dead our numbers were too low to try Phara Dar.  I think some people had early appointments to get their nails done or something.  Luckily, there were enough of us around to do some more keeeling out of VP.  We zoned out into East Freeport (beats coming out in a body bag) and rushed over to Sol B where a certain Zordak Cacksugger awaited death.

Congrats Elppin on your No-AFK-For-You-When-Everyone-Is-Dead Stick!

Last night was truly special.  After two dragons in VP, the quest dragon in Sol B, we rushed to Fear.  Cazic had popped and we knew a patch was pending for today.  Tenaj had brought the guild to Fear to kill some crazy number of CT's. . .22 or something.  Well, leading one of the quickest Fear clearings ever, Tenaj finally got his long-overdue reward:

BOOOOOOOOOOYA

Many congrats Tenaj, you put in a crazy amount of time and work to get that skin.  Also, special thanks to the nice folks in Fear who let us come last night and help out so that we could get CT good and dead before the servers came down.

Hoshkar, Silverwing, Xygoz:

Three More Notches in the Bedpost

When all is said and done, I must say Veeshan's Peak has got to be one of my favorite zones in the game (running a close third behind Rivervale and Misty Thicket of course).  Any zone where the only inhabitants are you, your guild and 6 dragons and not another soul to be seen or heard is money in the bank.  For those of you not familiar with VP, the first two dragons you need to deal with are Hoshkar and Silverwing.  Silverwing is a bit of a joke.  Some of the damned guardian wurms can present more problems than poosae silverwing.  Hoshkar on the other had is a fuggin TOUGH dragon.  I've heard some guilds from other servers argue that Hoshkar is more difficult than Phara Dar.  Luckily, we've always had a kickass strat for Hosh and he has never been *too* tough.  But damn, last night Hoshkar was being a Desp and gave us a few moments of pure frustration.  Well, I think Meggan's comments sum it up best:

The spirit of Debonica lives on. . .Anyway, don't think for a second that some fool dragon was going to keep us from having our fun.  We quickly regrouped and sent Hoshkar to where he belongs -- burning in eternal dragon hell.

Here's what fool dragon dropped:

Congrats to Genjiro on his new Boots and to Cyni on her new poker.  (ya ya, I know. . .I'm only supposed to include pictures of Cyni in DE form from the back. . .it was late, forgive me).

Silverwing begs for the smackdown. . .

. . .of course we deliver.

Silverwing loot:

Valmoon's new toy. . .oh how we love the hammer.

Silverwing dropped some other stuff too. . .druid staff and Exe blade that went to Parv.

Xygoz strutting his stuff

Xygoz enjoys a permanent sleep

Loot from the Golden Dragon:

The Eye went to Adorean, the Runeblade to Darvulia and the Null Staff to Sunmoontw Foolwizard.

That's the VP update of the day.  We'll be back there tonight.  Druushk is next on the menu -- probably the toughest dragon after PD and Hosh in my opinion.  Nexona is still up too.  Nex isn't necessarily the toughest dragon to fight but fighting Nex presents lots of fun challenges.

And now for the "random crap" section of the newspage. . .

Mooto Slain!

The Villain of the Thicket

Tig gives Mooto's Corpse the Ceremonial Victory Bum-Rumping

Misty Thicket: We've been debating for months if we could handle the most Uber-l33t of all the Uber mobs, Mooto.  People don't realize that in the past patch he was given a huge upgrade.  He now has 2,000,000,000 hitpoints (keeping inline with Verant's philosophy that somehow fighting a mob with 40 people in hellish lag is somehow funner if you have to do it for excessively long periods of time).  Mooto now quads for 900's as well.  His whole spell line was upgraded.  Most dubious is his AE Illusion Dorf Female spell that instantly changes everyone into the bearded lady from the circus.  Luckily, unlike the queen we killed the night before in Chardok, Mooto dropped some nice loot.  Check it out:

Congrats to Monq on the Necklace! (0.2 weight has monk item written all over it) and Nizzarr on the Backpack!

Not only can Monq equip the warbeads in the neck slot, he can use them for a quest which results in the Godly Squad Ring which has a charge of an 80hp heal.  Basically, we will be unstoppable with such items backing us up.  Expect a nerf soon because this uber loot will make us so overpowered.

All kidding aside, we had no event yesterday.  I was supposed to go out with my friend but apparently he is too goddamned Hollywood now to return my phone call.  We did manage to get some PoG farming done with a few groups.  Yes, the drops were nerfed signifigantly.  Luckily, we obtained a few decent items that made the trip worth it.

Grats Valmoon on the Legs

I had fun yesterday though. . .after PoG Adorean and I worked on the Ring Quest in Iceclad (so what I still wear a Jagged Band? foff).  Being KoS to Dorfs makes the quest especially fun.  Anytime Hide/Sneak would break, I'd have to instill doubt on the Dorf, send him running, then camp out.  Nothing like having the guy you're trying to save come after you with an Axe everytime.  Good stuff planned for tonight though, so we should all get our daily dose of ass-whooping.  Heading out to Las Vegas this weekend so there won't be any updates Saturday through Monday.  You can visit our sister site, manhole.com, for all your HGS needs to hold you over.
